Parkour is an artform and discipline focused on learning to navigate the world around us with movements for every age and ability level. It is the foundation of ROAM, and the main focus of our camps.
All youth programs are structured around skill-based movement development. We begin with fundamentals achievable by all ages, slowly expand complexity and difficulty, and diversify with new skillsets over time.
Camp at ROAM offers a high-energy, coach led athletic experience in our unique training facility.
Our camps are dynamic, with many stations & skillsets through which we shift based on the feel and flow of the day. Each camp will feel different from the last, with constant growth through skill development and play.
Games are the natural break from our skill-focused day. Chase Tag, Obstacle Relay, and S.T.I.C.K. are just a few familiar games refocused through a Parkour lens. We utilize games for their inherit social value and as a way to apply the skills learned throughout the camp day.
As a student explores the breadth of Parkour skillsets, they’ll find themselves following natural paths of interest and specialization. We reinforce and encourage this individual focus and the personal styles of movement it leads to.
Beyond the individual benefits of our programming, our camp structure fosters an atmosphere of goal-oriented socializing. Students learn to develop new skills and confront unfamiliar challenges with and around others–a massive part of the Parkour experience.
Our camp days are high-energy and high-calorie-burning. We recommend packing a substantial snack & lunch.
We offer baked goods and other treats at our in-house Coffee Bar, as well as a pre-payable and re-loadable card that can be used for these purchases.
If your child has an allergy please inform us ahead of time, and provide us with any action plan you would implement should a reaction occur.
Or bare-feet!
Thin, all-rubber soled shoes with traditional laces are recommended.
Foam soled shoes or shoes with velcro/elastic laces are highly discouraged. Foam has little to no traction, and velcro/elastic laced shoes easily slip free.
